Overview
ISID was a pioneer in introducing computer-aided engineering (CAE) into Japan. From ISID’s establishment in 1975 up to the present day, we have worked closely with customers in the Japanese manufacturing sector to help bolster their development capabilities and competitiveness. In doing so, we have built up a strong record of achievements as a partner in fostering the adoption of state-of-the-art IT in the manufacturing sector.
Backed by our record of accomplishments in the adoption of IT across a broad array of fields, by providing highly specialized services we are able to support the realization of strengthened development capabilities, improved productivity, cost reductions and shortened lead times. Our solutions are not limited to tools, but extend to the identification of our customers’ key operational issues and the proposal of effective measures to overcome such issues.
Strength
ISID focuses on the core operations related to the product development process—research and development, product planning, design, manufacturing set-up and manufacturing. Through the provision of development process consulting, engineering solutions and system solutions, we aim to contribute to the enhancement of the development capabilities of the Japanese manufacturing sector.
ISID subsidiary iTiD Consulting, Ltd., has achieved a high reputation for its proprietary iTiD INDEX for measuring companies’ product development capabilities. This reputation reflects the iTiD INDEX’s unique advantages in accurately assessing an enterprise’s product development potential. In fiscal 2008, we began offering iPrime NAVI, which we developed as a system determining the optimal technological process for product development.
We do not simply offer products, but also provide consulting services for analyzing our customers’ businesses and identifying key issues. This enables us to support the development, implementation and expansion of IT systems that contribute to innovation in our customers’ business operations.
