ISID enters into alliance with Silver Egg Technology

Information Services International - Dentsu, Ltd. (ISID; Head Office in Nakano, Tokyo; Jutaro Takinami, CEO; ¥8180.5 million in capital) has signed a sales agency agreement with Silver Egg Technology (Head Office in Suita City, Osaka Prefecture; Atsuko Nishimura, President; ¥346 million in capital) to begin selling version 2.0 of the Silver Egg AIgent Server package. Silver Egg AIgent Server Version 2.0 is a new web-based marketing solution that uses a technique developed by Silver Egg called "deep knowledge" to analyze actual and projected user preferences. This information is then used to target products and information to individual customers in realtime.

At ISID, the aim is to use the AIgent Server software to provide next-generation personalization for e-commerce sites in the popular B2C sector.

Silver Egg supplies the Silver Egg AIgent Server personalization tool for web sites, with Silver Egg's core business consisting of development, sales and consulting services for AIgent Server.

Silver Egg also provides the advanced technical skills and service expertise needed to achieve next-generation personalization systems that apply Silver Egg's own Deep Knowledge techniques. Silver Egg builds customer loyalty and increases sales by creating customer profiles and then targeting product and information recommendations based on those profiles.

Silver Egg Technology was established as a limited company in August 1998 and incorporated in September 1999. It has capital of ¥346 million and is headed by Thomas Foley (CEO) and Atsuko Nishimura (President).

Silver Egg AIgent Server Version 2.0 from Silver Egg Technology is a ground-breaking personalization tool that allows web-based retailers to recommend products and services to their customers in realtime. Based on Deep Knowledge technology,*1 Silver Egg AIgent Server Version 2.0 allows users to build high-performance recommendation systems on a commercial scale. AIgent Server works by compiling histories of the clicks and purchases of individual customers. It then develops customer preference profiles based on those histories and generates optimized recommendation data. The benefits of this for e-commerce sites include the ability to recommend related products to customers based on their purchasing history and increased returns per customer as a result.

*: Deep Knowledge technology is a tool that applies a model, called a knowledge network, to the various types of data collected on a web site's database. It then assigns attributes to the data according to categories, products, etc. in that model. Deep Knowledge then uses the knowledge network to learn individual user preferences by monitoring the way each user behaves, and extracts optimized data for each user.
