ISID and DTC in Consolidated Accounting Software Tie-up-- SCOPE III and FALCON/PC consolidated accounting packages integrated --Information Services International - Dentsu, Ltd. (ISID; Head Office in Nakano-ku, Tokyo; Jutaro Takinami, CEO; ¥8180.5 million in capital) and Deloitte Tohmatsu Consulting Co., Ltd (DTC; Head Office in Minato-ku, Tokyo; Kazumasa Nishioka, Managing Director) have agreed to integrate their SCOPE III and FALCON/PC consolidated accounting software packages and operate jointly in the consolidated accounting field. This agreement generates a user base for the two companies of some 500 companies (500 corporate groups), making it the most extensive user base of any corporate consolidated accounting package in Japan. The integration of system tie-ups and management tie-ups in the two companies, coupled with their pooled expertise in system development, installation, maintenance, operation and management allows ISID and DTC to make a secure, long-term commitment to providing consolidation software that features even better quality and greater functional diversity. The two companies also plan to work together providing joint management
consulting, marketing, sales and software maintenance services with the
aim of building a broad-based cooperative relationship that will extend
well beyond the consolidated accounting field.
[Background] DTC supplies the FALCON/PC and FALCON/NT FALCON-series software, with packages already shipped to over 250 corporate clients. ISID supplies the SCOPE series software and has also shipped copies to over 250 corporate users. Until now, ISID and DTC have each developed their own software packages
and produced updates as required, working to enhance the software functionality
and keep ahead of their rivals. From this point on, SCOPE III and FALCON/PC
will be integrated, adding the consulting skills of DTC to ISID's technical
expertise. This combination will allow the new alliance to better meet the
needs of their clients by enhancing the functionality of their consolidation
software (including the management consolidation and IR support functions).
This will provide effective support for the almost yearly accounting system
revisions that are needed if those systems are to keep pace with the rapid
advances in IT.
