ISID and Japan Business Create Company Agree to Join Hands

  Information Services International Dentsu, Ltd. (ISID) and Japan Business Create Co., Ltd. (JBC) have agreed to enter a business partnership in the field of key application systems for manufacturing industries, including ERP, SCM, and PDM. Also, in a preceding move aimed at forming a capital tie-up, on May 30 ISID subscribed to 150 shares of a new stock issue by JBC to third parties. ISID will thus acquire 2.4 percent of JBC's outstanding shares.
ISID, with its head office in Nakano-ku, Tokyo, is capitalized at 8,180.5 million yen and is headed by Jutaro Takinami, president. JBC, based in Minato-ku, Tokyo, is capitalized at 150 million yen and is headed by Yoshiaki Fukushima, president.

[Background to the Tie-up]

  JBC is a consulting firm founded in 1989. It has been providing customers, many of them large manufacturers, with consulting services concerning business model reform, SCM process reform, ERP introduction support, and so on. JBC is highly rated by its customers for its ability to propose practical solutions as well as for its unique consulting philosophy and techniques.

Since last year, ISID and JBC have been cooperating to jointly propose and provide solutions to customers. In this process, they have confirmed that they will be able to provide more sophisticated, more satisfactory solutions by combining ISID's technical support capabilities concerning installation and utilization of software such as CAD/CAM/CAE, PDM, ERP, and SCM with JBC's business consulting capabilities. They also believe that this combination will also produce favorable synergetic effects on marketing and sales. ISID and JBS have thus agreed to sign a comprehensive business partnership to allow each company to use the other's management resources, including know-how, expertise, and human resources.

  ISID has long been pursuing a strategy of providing customers with total solutions by actively tieing-up with other companies to share management resources. Its partnership with JBS is in line with this strategy.

The two companies expect that their partnership will enable them to:

  • jointly develop markets and create additional order opportunities for both companies;
  • jointly create consulting services (solutions incorporating consulting methods based on their know-how); and
  • improve their respective consulting skills through joint consulting activities.

The two companies intend to utilize these effects as a lever to develop additional business. ISID expects this partnership will contribute 300-500 million yen to its sales in the first year (fiscal 2001).
